Cross-correlator surveys on metallic and plastic mains.
Cross-correlation is the gold standard for locating leaks on pressurized water mains. Two synchronized sensors at known points on a line pick up the leak signature; the correlator computes the time delay between them and resolves the leak position to within a metre or two on a buried main. We operate correlators across copper, ductile iron, cast iron, PVC and HDPE mains for municipalities, utilities, industrial facilities and large commercial properties. Each survey is delivered with the raw correlation data, sensor placement, and a clear locate mark on site.
Acoustic Detection is a sub-division of Leak.ca, the Greater Vancouver leak detection company trusted since 1999. Every site visit is delivered by certified technicians using calibrated equipment, with documented findings formatted for insurance, engineering and procurement use.
We don't sell remediation. Our role is independent detection and assessment — the data you and your professional team work from.
Yes, with the right low-frequency hydrophone sensors. We carry the equipment for plastic as well as metallic.
Routinely 1–3 metres of cover. Deeper is possible depending on conditions.
Yes — correlation requires the line to be pressurized and leaking. That's the working condition.
